Japanese name symbols with the literal meaning

It is unusual to translate a Westner's name with the literal meaning.

So, can't we write Japanese name symbols with the literal meaning?

Yes, we can write Japanese name symbols with the literal meaning,
and this is called the purely denotative translation method.

The purely denotative translation method focus solely on preserving themeaning of the original English name, but it is NOT appropriate to use this method for writing names in Japanese symbols.

The reason why we don't take its method is that we need to know the original meaning of the English name.

So, we normally use the purely phonetic translation method.
