How To Read Kanji Symbols in Japanese?

Did you know that there are 2 ways of reading Kanji symbols in Japanese?
One is called: Kunyomi, and another one is called: Onyomi.

Kunyomi
============
Kunyomi is the way native Japanese people normally read.
So, it is also called "Japanese reading".
For example, let me just think about the famous Japanese Kanji charater . . . .

Japanse Kanji character: LOVE [愛]
can be pronounced: Itooshimu, Oshimu or Mederu

Onyomi
=============
Onyomi is, on the other hand, the original Chinese reading.
As Japan has historically imported the Chinese Kanji language and gradually changed its original writting to Japanese Kanji writting system, we still apply some of rules from its origin of Chinese Kanji system.

Now, let me tell you how we pronounce LOVE symbols in Onyomi.
It can be read: Ai

So, the question you might want to ask is that do many Japanese people read the LOVE symbol with Kunyomi, because that's the Japanese reading?
The answer is: it depends on a chanracter.
Although I have told you that Kunyomi is the Japanese reading, Japanese people are carefull in our choice of words according to circumstances.

So, in fact, we prounce LOVE symool as AI.
