Types of Kanji

Hello, everyone!
This is Takanori Tomita from DSFY.com
Today, I would like to talk about the type of kanji we have in Japanese.
But, before that, I also need to announce something.

My New Japanese book is finally published in Japan.
The book is about the Internet Business, and talk about how I help people who wants Japanese symbols on the Internet.
But, unfortunately, this is all in Japanese and can be bought in Japan.



In this book, I have used 4 different types of kanji.

1. Pictorial Kanji
2. Complex Kanji
3. Simple Abstract Kanji
4. Sound and Meaning Kanji


1. Pictorial Kanji

2~3% of all kanji are Pictorial kanji.
As you might understand, the pictorial kanji derive
from picture of nature.


Today, let me talk about the types of kanji we have in Japanese.
But, before that, I have recently published a new book in Japan.

For example, the human kanji can be written like this:



So, that is why we have the Japanese phrase called

Yon De Ji No Go To Shi

which means if you read it carefully, you can understand it.

Next week, I am going to talk about other 3 types of kanji.
